Installing fog lights where is the dash plug?
I am trying to install fog lights on my truck. There was a plug underneath the truck on the cross member for them. It already had the switch in the dash for them but i cannot find the wire that plugs into the switch. Anyone know where i can look for it. I have looked all underneath the dash and cannot find it.

what year model is your truck. as I thought most later 2nd gens had the wires regardless if your truck came with fog lights from factory. if my memory is correct it is one main that pig tails located driver side around the cross member by the down tube on the inter-cooler. if there I believe it would be attached into the cross member with those plastic pop in rivet things. if that makes sense. ??? anyone Bueller? Bueller?

You probably need a different head light switch also.
I would start by looking down near the fuse box for a pigtail ziptied or attached near it, coiled up.
Mine was wired for p/h mirrors and cab lights, the p/h wiring was present in the doors and at the a/c panel behind the spot for teh heat button.

The truck came with the switch for fog lights so I have the correct switch. I took my dash off to get a better look and there is no plug there. I did find a bunch of wires cut and taped together I am thinking that the fog light plug got cut off. Does anyone know what color the two wires for the switch are?

Not sure what exactly your looking for but you pull the headlight switch out to activate the fog lights. The headlight switch is a multifunction switch. The wires are prob tied into the main harness and prob goes to the fuse box first and the color of the wire may change. Hope this helps.

You need more than two wires if you want the switch to behave like stock.
It needs a positive, negative, dimmer circuit and the switched negative to trigger a relay.
The switch has an on/off pilot light and a dimable light that comes on with the dash lights.
Find where they need to be connected to the switch with one of these http://www.genosgarage.com/products.asp?dept=241
I searched for an hour for the dash end of stock fog wires before I gave up and ran my own single switched negative wire up front to a relay.
Took about five minutes.
Mine had no connector for the stock switch either so I just tapped into the same wires on the OD off switch right next to the fog switch.
Yours will be different on a newer model.
