OK, just purchased my 98!

1998 Dodge 3500 Club Cab (4-door) 12-valve 5 Speed

Now the fun begins. I had a thought with this truck that I would create a new website around it as a project. I am going to document everything I do to this truck and take input from the website viewers on what to do to the truck. Any thoughts on this? I know what I want to do with the truck, just don't know where the best place to start is.

 

Hey...if thats a 12 valve, does that make it a 2nd gen? And if it's a 2nd gen, wouldn't you want to start with the KDP? I need to do mine, it sure would be cool to get a web demo!!

Yes, 2nd generation is classified as 94 through 02.

This does bring about a good question; How do I know if the KDP has already been done?

 

There's a guy that posts on the site that goes by the handle of "1320". He's knowledgeable about these things and is local to us (in So. Nevada). Look him up in the members directory and give him a shout...Tell him RamBob from Pahrump sent ya!!

 

Unless the jig was used, you won't know, 'til you pull the timing case cover. Mine was working its way out, but stopped it in time.
