How many still have the original batteries?

I have a 2001.5 and still running the original batteries. Almost 7 1/2 years and still cranking hard. Are there tell - tell signs when they die or do they just die? I have never had batteries last this long so just asking.

just had to change mine a few weeks ago. one shorted out, still have the other one and it load tests fine. so they made it six years and change. there was no warning, one day it just didn't crank as fast.

Still have mine @127k, no problems but I'm going to be looking into replacing them this summer before I start the long trips again.

I had a friend tell me you should change out your batteries every 2 years.
