Help wires melting.

okay dont know what the wires are but they are now melted with smoke and dont want to drive untill I fix them. they are oem 2 wires black that go to the driverside + terminal they go down right under the battery and go into a black connecting box that they both have there own rubber boot protector on them. from what it looks like the factory wires were both factory wrapped together and looks to be a white tab sticker with letter B on it. this is all I know how to describe it. did not throw any codes will start fine just these wire are getting super hot.

Sounds like the wires to your grid heaters.
I would just cut the melted ones close to the battery and drive it till you get it fixed.

Wires are wires. You can fab them yourself. I have a switch on mine to shut the system off when not needed and that is never here. In Roseburg I doubt you need them either. Switch goes on control wire to the relays for the heaters. You need a wire diagram.

Yeah, nothing special. I think they are 10 or 12 ga wires, get a few ring connectors and you are good to go. When ya hook em back up, listen to see if the solenoids click. If so, one or both may be stuck on. My wires didn't get so hot they melted, but when my solenoid stuck, they were real hot. it's hard to tell now after they are already melted, but they could have rubbed through on the wheel well possibly causing a short. Check to see if paint is rubbed off. I put wire loom around mine after replacing just to be safe.
