Help on new (to me) truck.
Help on new (to me) truck.
I sold my 97 a while back and actually bought a 2004 Ram 2500 4 door with the Hemi. Absolutely hated it! I owned it two months and was lucky enough to sell it for what I was into it. Anyway, I'm on my way tomorrow to look at two different 2001 dodge cummins. They both have almost identlical mileage and they are both sold by private sellers who are also the original owners.
I've thought about printing the code list from this website with me and checking for any error codes. The problem is, I don't know exactly how to do that. I'm trying to make sure that I don't purchase a truck that has a bad lp or ip. Both of these trucks autos (wife doesn't like the manual trans) and both are bone stock. One has 74,000 and the other has 77,000.
Will the factory warranty still be good on these trucks?
Any advice is always appreciated.

It would help if the LP pressure could be checked. You can pull codes by turning key on-off-on-off-on and watching odometer window. Any codes will pop up there. The warrenty is good for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Hope this helps.
