Help- bad actuator for a/c / heat / def damper
Pretty sure I have a weak or failing actuator for the hvac damper for my '96. This happened before and the dealor fixed it. Where is the actuator located and can average shadetree mech like me get to it?
Also is it possible for the blower motor to get weak over age or does it just totally quit? Even when air is coming out the right vent it just does not seem to blow as hard as used to. Its getting old like me!

I have a problem with mine also so I thought I would add it with yours. On mine, I can't get full defrost. The **** selector seems to be back one notch meaning on full defrost, I get half defrost and half floor heat...It is behind the one setting throughout the dial...

Wicked, yours sounds like the selector **** slipped. They have been known to do that. Not sure of the fix, perhaps others will know how.
Abbeynormal, yours sounds like either a leak in the vacuum system or one of the servos (the diaphram in the servo goes bad). A search will give you tons of info on how to find the lines, and check for leaks. Hopefully it is a simple fix as most of the servos require you to pull the dash. KD
