Headlight switch swap?
I have a 98 that has the old style pull **** for the headlights. Does anyone know if the 99+ and the 98 have the same plugs?
I'd like to pick this up and swap it for what I have in my truck: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...#ht_501wt_1079

Joining this thread.
I'd like to do the same.
Just to clarify; the '98 does have the same dash as the 99-01 but just has the older push-pull switch.
Also, if you get a rotary switch from a rig that had the driving lights you'll also have the additional switch control for the driving lights.
Just curious if this is a direct swap?

The 94-98 dash differed from the 98.5-02 Quad cab era dash.
I have never seen a 98.5 up dash with a pull switch for headlights, and I have been in a lot of 94 and up Dodges.
However, this may have occured in the '98 12 valve Quad cab trucks in the change over period. I have never heard it discussed here, though.

Mine is a 98 12v quad.
Definitely has the newer dash with the push-pull switch.
Other differences are the that the driving light switch is to the right of the radio where I think there is a cubby hole in the 99-01's.
Before I bought my 98 I had an 01 gasser.
Not the end of the world but like the rotary switch better.

Just found this thread while looking for an answer to the same question. I actually have a 98.5 24v with the old push pull switch in it also! Guess Dodge was still using up old parts lol. Find out if it's a direct replacement with the rotory switch?? Be nice to have oem fog light switch
