headlight problem!

OK, never had this problem in the last 55 years of driving:
Low bemas are dim in one position and bright in the other. High beams never come on. High beam indicator lights regardless of whether of switched to high or to low. Anyone ver had THIS problem???

Multifunction switch is a common culprit......... Take the cover off and give it a look.

Check the switch for any burnt smell...It's common for these headlight switchs to short out.....

The headlight switch is junk and cannot handle the current through it. Worse if you tow. Probably needs replacement and recommend a relay harness to take headlight current off the switch. I had to replace my 97 twice before I got a relay harness.

I put this in my 2500, fixed the issue- takes the trailer running lamp's off the headlight switch. The more lights on your trailer the quicker your headlight switch dies

No, but I bought the truck not long ago and just noticed the problem. Never drove it at night. What lamps should they have?

I replaced my stock bulbs with PIAA 9004 bulbs. They are improvement over stock and I think they come with a lifetime warranty.
