that exact thing happened to me. all of a sudden the guages quit working and all the warning lights came on but my instrument lights still worked just like yours. Dirt build up on the connections on the back of the guage cluster caused that problem on my truck. I pulled the cluster and mine didn't even look dirty but i sprayed some electrical cleaner on the connections and that fixed it. If that is your problem its an easy 5 minute fix

How tough is it to get the cluster out? Mine did this this morning to me, no guages at all, and flashing speedo.

Pulled the cluster, connections look very clean. I'm going to put some dialectic grease on them to see if that helps.

Got codes 920, 921, 999 - none of which really help point to anything.

I've not noticed any problems with the cluster at all up until this morning. Only problem I've ever had is the oil pressure guage reading 0 psi, but I always figured that was a fualty sending unit.

Checked plugs/connections under the steering wheel, didn't find any loose ones.

The truck seems to be running fine, no difference in performance.

Grease didn't help, and I noticed that my A/C isn't working now either. The compressor isn't kicking on. Going to replace the relay...

Check the crank position sensor, just unplug it and plug it back in. A bad connection on the crank position sensor can knock out all the guages and light the warning lights.

Probably because there's no such thing as a crank position sensor (CPS) on 12 valves. What you're looking for is called the engine speed sensor or ESS. It's next to the lower pulley, front of engine. Only thing in that area that has wires going to it. When the ESS or it's wiring is bad it tells the computer the engine isn't running, nothing electronic will work.

On 24 valves the CPS is by the starter.
