gauges wont work
gauges wont work help. has this happened to anyone else
gauges wont work.and the fuel warning, abs, and brake light come on. the lights work fine but the guages show nothing. please help
Not sure if this helps but I lost my speed sensor on a 98 24v ,and my cluster went whacked it was one in rear end not tranny .I shot codes and abs and brake light stayed lit, after replacing it shot another code before speedo came back when code was cleared all was fine, that was 30k ago,Bill
that exact thing happened to me. all of a sudden the guages quit working and all the warning lights came on but my instrument lights still worked just like yours. Dirt build up on the connections on the back of the guage cluster caused that problem on my truck. I pulled the cluster and mine didn't even look dirty but i sprayed some electrical cleaner on the connections and that fixed it. If that is your problem its an easy 5 minute fix

Pulled the cluster, connections look very clean. I'm going to put some dialectic grease on them to see if that helps.
Got codes 920, 921, 999 - none of which really help point to anything.
I've not noticed any problems with the cluster at all up until this morning. Only problem I've ever had is the oil pressure guage reading 0 psi, but I always figured that was a fualty sending unit.
Checked plugs/connections under the steering wheel, didn't find any loose ones.
The truck seems to be running fine, no difference in performance.

On 24 valves the CPS is by the starter.
