Fuse Keeps blowing
Hey guys, my #7 fuse which is the reverse lights and my cup holder light keeps blowing. It calls for a 10 amp and thats what was in it so I bought some more and they keep blowing after a few hundred miles. It just started a little bit ago. Any ideas on what might be causing it? Thanks

Re:Fuse Keeps blowing
After 20 plus years of finding/fixing wierd electrical problems in jets, I will first say good luck! ;D Sounds like you have a loose wire or maybe some corrosion somewhere. About all you can do is first give all connectors a real good going over with contact cleaner. Take the tail lights out and look at the wiring around the grommets on the light housing. Also, I don't know how to remove the cup holder, never had the problem yet, but has someone spilled something in the cup holder? Good luck.<br>Ed

Re:Fuse Keeps blowing
This info is for the 2002, and may work on your truck. Fuse #7 also feeds the automatic day/night mirror [if you have one] and your trailer tow connectors. You can unplug the mirror control and see if your problem disappears, but your trailer connector takes alot of abuse. The wire color at both locations is violet with a black stripe. You might want to check to see if you snaged your wires going to your xmission reverse switch, too. My print doen't show anything to do with your cup lamp though.
