Tow mirrors Kool vue
I have searched a bit and found everyone seems happy with the kool vue mirrors. I'm looking to replace my little stock ones with something power and heated. Finding prices of $330 for what I'm looking for. Just wanting to hear a little additional feedback on my options. Ebay type or spend the $$ for the kool ones. Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest going with the Kool-vue's. They fit, the wiring harness is correct and they operate as the stockers do.
Make sure you get the backing plates that the heavier tow mirrors require, or they won't mount correctly.
Also, there are pathways for the wiring in the mirror arm. Be sure to route the wires and test fit so you don't pinch any wires when you mount them. Just a heads up.
You will probably need to shave a bit off the back of the control switch, also. No big deal.

I'm in the process of installing these right now -

They come with the reinforcing plate rather than having to purchase them seperate. I've already plugged in the connector and tested the motors. I'll post again once they are on and I've driven a few miles.

Mirrors are on and test drive complete with cab over camper on the truck.
Pro's
They work fine, I can see very well on both sides now.
They don't vibrate
Power and heat works with factory connector
Big mirror face with small spot mirror
They come with reinforcing plates in the box, don't have to buy seperately.
Less expensive than the other suppliers
Tech support answers the phone
Con's
Had to call tech support for replacement studs on the passenger side as they were too short. Tech support mailed 6 replacement studs the same day, no charge.
Also... I JB Welded the studs in the mirrors so they don't vibrate loose later. Recommend you do the same on any tow mirror.

You will not be disappointed with the kool-vue mirrors.
...and don't worry that you could maybe have saved $50 or something doing it another way.... after your first tow, you will not regret having those mirrors.

Mine seem to dislike side winds around 70 mph and rough lanes on the highway.
You can shake the mirror and tell if the studs aren't tight.
