finally a proud owner of a ctd

well, I couldnt wait till saturday, so I took thursday off and went to pick up my 97 extended cab 4x4 cummins. ;D ;D ;D I was grinning from ear to ear when we pulled up to where it was! My wife is sooooo jealous. She don;t understand, she is a city girl and doesn't really get in to that stuff, but i got it home and literally ran for the house to get my coveralls on so i could crawl underneith to do some measuring, and got my flat headed screw driver and popped off the darned old silencer ring ;D ;D It is 15 minutes to 1 a.m. friday morning and i am still grinning from ear to ear....!! will try to get some pictures up soon!

That sounds like me when I got my truck. I was under the hood for at least 3hrs looking and ;D ;D all night. I had to drive it around the next day so that all my friends could see that I got a new Cummins. I bought it because I liked it and wanted to put I'd rather be cummin Than stroken. Just to Pi$$ of my friends with strokers.
got to love a cummins.
Aaron

I jealous of yeah Doodah. :-[

I bought a Reg cab because I thought a Club Cab long bed would be too long for me (first truck was a 93 Ext. Cab Toyota). Well now one year later I'm missing the room of my Ext. cab terribly so I'm going to try and sell my Reg cab and buy a Club Cab.

Oh well you'll enjoy that truck very much. I know I have mine in the past year! ;D

Re:finally a proud owner of a ctd

Sounds exactly how I spent last Friday. I picked up new '96 Club Cab 5 speed around 5pm, got home around 7pm and spent the rest of the night looking at it and thinking about what to do next. In the past week I already swapped the cat/muffler for a straight pipe and put in a #11 plate. Thank goodness the wife is cool. Heck, she bought me the 16cm2 housing for Christmas!! I love that woman and I love that truck!!!! Now all I need is a clutch that keeps up with the motor.

John

Re:finally a proud owner of a ctd

Congratulations Doodah. When I picked up mine summer before last, I couldn't drive it for three days, because the other guy's bank wouldn't sign a release of lien until my check cleared , and the State of Michigan wouldn't sell me plates for it. You're going to love it. When I bought the truck, I didn't know what bombing meant, now I can't get rid of the bug no matter what I buy.....er...try.

Enjoy your ride!

DeWain
