Drivers seat repair
I found a new seat foam for my '97 on amazon, but I haven't been able to find the original cover material. Does anyone know of any sources for this,or do I need to find the best fitting set of seat covers to put over it?
Thanks |
I used the foam from Geno's. I hope you got the same, it's top notch. Better than the OEM I think. They might have the actual cover. Also check LMC, they have a truckload of stuff for our rigs..pun intended.

Try u.s.autoseatcover on e bay. They have brand new made stock seat covers for FORD/DODGE/GM that are good quality and attach just like the stock original. I bought 2 bottoms for my 97 Tahoe and they are a perfect match to the original.
I have no affiliation with them other than being a satisfied customer. |
Awesome. Thanks for the info guys.
Also, the foam I got has two blue strips that look like Velcro. Does anyone know if this is to Velcro to a cover, or what? |
I think it keeps the cover from sliding around on the foam.

Yup that's what they do. A good quality foam will have those strips and the cover has the other side.
It took two tries to get mine lined up right but it's worth the extra care to make it look OEM. |

Try USAutonation on ebay...https://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-1999-D...item3d526fff51

My leather seat bottoms wore out on the outside edge drivers side from sliding out the door. I found a local auto upholstery shop and for not much cash got a new cover made for it. Got a good color match too.
