Double DIN Radio kit

Metra has a double DIN conversion kit for 2nd Gens. has anyone tried one?

I've never heard of this kit nor anyone using it... Have you tried it? Is that a picture of your truck?

It is a stock photo from Metra. I guess they just released the kit a couple months ago.

First I've seen that. When I replaced my radio I went with a single DIN with an adapter plate that filled the rest of the hole.

I did this for a friend a couple weeks ago on his 2 gen 1500 (sorry, no pictures). Unfortunately you need to cut the existing trim panel and sub dash in order for it to work. Relatively easy, and looks decent when finished, but don't expect to put a stock radio (or at least a very secure one) back in if you do this.
