Question Dash indicator lights burnt out?

My fuel gauge is pegged at E, so I assume the "Low Fuel" light has been on constantly for a long while.

When I picked the truck up, I noticed that the light worked.

While driving it back from Texas I noticed that the light no longer lit up. I figure its been on so long it finally died.

Also, is there supposed to be a 4WD indicator on the dash of these trucks? If so, I've never seen mine, so I assume that this bulb doesn't work as well.

How much of a pain is it to change these bulbs and which do I use?

Its kind of odd.. Almost every interior light on this truck was inoperative.. Including map lights, dome lights, and the third brakelight..
I replaced them all and they work fine..

Thanks in advance.

Bobcat, it's not that hard to remove. I'm going off of memeory on my 97 so might be a little different.

Pull out ash tray and remove 2 phillips screws on each side of it, then pull it out of the dash. Same thing for the cup holder.

Then with key in ignition, one click towards start but not starting, and emergency brake on, move gear shift over to like 1, or 2, then shut the key off.

The trim piece that surrounds the gauges and speedo stuff just pull off. It is a friction fit. Just be a little careful.

Then you will see the screws that hold the whole cluster. I think it is only 4. Remove them and the unit pulls completely out. There is a wire harness attatched to the back, it unplugs easily. Now you can see all of your bulbs, not sure of the number but they are small. They twist in and out.

I'm sure your owners manual or Dodgeram.org may list the number. Hope it helps, may have forgot a few things, Kevin
