well I know the flywheel weighs more than 30lbs 60-80 maybe I think you under estimated alot of your figures, don't forget batteries at 50+lbs times 2 all the little things add up. just go to a truckstop and get yourself an actual weight Id go in with completely empty truck including cab, full tank and just deduct your weight and 35 gallons of fuel x 8lbs each = 280lbs plus your weight
good luck I hope you find what you are looking for

I think if anything I feel I overestimated everything, totals upto about 7200lbs now! I just couldn't believe it is so darn heavy, I guess I now have a good idea where it is all coming from. I know the total truck should weigh in around 6800lbs stock, I just was wondering where it all came from.
What we think of glass in vehicles is more plastic than anything, sure it is probably just as heavy but it isn't glass. (glass shatters, plastic severely deforms but can shatter with enough impact) I agree, anytime you are in an uncomfortable position or have to hold something up for a bit to long it seems to get a good deal heavier than it actually is. I don't think of my head as being to heavy but holding it up in the air under a car long enough and it sure gets it!
Thanks for all the replies.

Not glass?? Whenever the local sleezeballs break into my truck, they leave lots of broken glass, not plastic. Safety Glass is a tempered product, designed to explode into tiny beads instead of large shards, and our Windshields are laminated safety glass, two layers of glass sandwiching a flexible, strong plastic bonding material to keep everything together upon impact. I asure you, the windows are glass from the factory, and very heavy!

I was speaking more so of the windshield (largest and thickest on truck, should be most weight) but yes I do agree the side windows have little to no plastic in them. Sorry HID and zulusafari if I misinterpreted. I had the honor of vacuuming out chunks of glass from my MB's door the other day, I guess one of the previous owners had a problem and the shop just left the broken glass in there. The window was rattling from only having one bolt holding it in place as well....
