No Power Steering
I just purchased my first diesel truck and LOVE it. Now i need to fix the power steering (not working when i got it). I have no knowledge of cummins dodge. Do I need Fluid or is it a bad Pump.
I am about to print out some diagrams of under hood layout(I dont know where the fluid reservoir is , Or the pump) Any info helps. Also how do i add cheep power ? boost elbow or chip or something i don't know about .1998.5 RAM 2500 4X4 AUTO 300000 Miles

The power steering reservoir is on the left side towards the front of the engine.
If you still have assisted brakes the pump is working and fluid is there.
In that case I would look into the steering box itself.
Cheap power can be added, just to become horrendously expensive due to thrashing your automatic trans or your clutch...

Joe, do you know who the previous owner was? Many times modifications are made to a truck but the history is lost when the truck is sold or resold. Your trans may have been modified previously to be able to handle more power. Or... it may not have. And how did you fix the P.S?
