Clicking relay in dash, no door locks on '01

I've tried this on several other forums with no success. I'm new here and crossing my fingers I can find an answer here.

2001 SLT, 4x4, 6spd manual. When I use the key fob or the switch on the door to actuate the locks I get nothing. I can hear a relay somewhere in the dash clicking but nothing happens. I've tried and tried to narrow it down and have even looked in a shop book but no answers.

I also replaced this Control Timer Module, had it re-flashed at the dealership and that didn't work either. I really hope somebody can help me out with this, I'm at my wits end with this thing. Before someone asks or suggests, I have searched here on this and no one with my same symptoms so far.

Both doors won't lock or one, will the door locks work on the door switch. Will the panic work on the remote . Next pull the door panel off to see if power is going to the door lock could be broken wire ?

Neither door will lock or unlock. Panic works. If it was a broken wire, wouldn't it be one door or the other that wouldn't work?

The lock switches at the door were upgraded to be "waterproof" some years back. I replaced both of mine and haven't had any problems since.....

Worth checking out.

Are you talking about the actual switch that you mash on the door, or the internal parts behind the panel?

Were you having the same "clicking sound" in the dash?

There is a switch at the lock cylinders behind the entry latches that is tied into the security system. It allows the system to know the door had a key turn it and disables the entry alarm. That is what I replaced after the dealer insisted it was why my truck was having alarm issues and locking/unlocking/locking when I used the fob, usually after a rain event.

They can get wet and corrode, the inner switch can do the same if water gets into it, usually disassembly and a clean up can help that.

I would get into the switches and see what you find, sounds like the trigger is hitting but now reaching the actuator in the doors...

Good luck, the electrical gremlins can get really annoying.

These trucks are 13 years old now...I always try the free stuff first!

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am seeing the exact same issue on my '02. Just get a click and no lock action with either fob or door switches, and the panic switch does function.

Thanks.
