Center seat.
Mine is stuck in the up position. It will pivot an inch or so, before it hits the stop. Has anybody run into this? Any known remedies before I go in there, break parts, lose screws/bolts and generally screw it up? ( as Ron White said, "...and I will. I know. I've seen me do it")

Both of mine pull that stunt every so often, I just keep wiggling it until it releases, almost feels like there is a detent that has to release.
Mine hasn't stuck up long enough to worry about it. Post the solution if you find one. |
I found I had to push in at the pivot point. Almost like it locks in the up position

The drivers side screw came out of mine. Of course i didn't find it until after i took the other side out and bought a screw at home depot to match. 8mm i think.

Then I'll try to read up on the best way to stop the wandering. It looks like there are volumes here on that subject. I wonder why Dodge went backward on the steering from the 1st gen trucks. 2WD and 4X4 alike. I have a buddy with a '92 4X4 CTD. My 2WD and his both have good steering. My brother's 2WD 3500 (V-10) has gone through steering issues too. Oh well, I really like the rest of the truck. |
