Cal smog and edge juice
Well crap, I guess I have to remove the juice to take the smog test... If the smog dude sees where the wire was tapped, can he flunk me?
Also, I have a 4" drop pipe and straight 4" all the way back, will I get dinged for that too? What a pain in the rear end!

Knowing how screwed up the Cal smog system is I have to say it just depends on who you go to. But if one guy does flunk you, I'd just take it somewhere in a bad part of town and give someone an extra $20-40 to pass you. And I'd also try to hide the tap with... something... liquid electrical tape or mud or several dobs of grease... something logical that he won't question.

i wouldnt worry about it to much. i think as long as nothing is hooked up to it you should be fine. most smog shops probably wouldnt know to look at that wire anyways.

only thing i've read about the exhasut is if it came with a cat, it must have a cat to pass. 4" is fine, aftermarket air filter is fine, air intake is fine...
