brake and clutch pedal slope

I noticed today that my clutch pedal has unusual slope. It looks like the rod that the clutch pedal and brake pedal pivot on has worn bushings on both ends. Is that rod/bushings replaceable?

Yes, they are replaceable. Couple dollars for a set at Dodge.

Mrclean thanks for the response. I have yet to get a manual for my truck. Just picked up the 97 this week. How do I remove the shaft? I am assuming it has bad bushings on the end??

There are actually four small plastic bushings.......one on each end of the shaft, and one for each pedal. The shaft is held in place on both ends by e-clips. It's a little tight working up there......you may want to remove the panel under the steering column.

Mrclean thanks a bunch for the info. I did remove the panel when I originally inspected it. I am sure I will be cursing like a sailor when I am working on this..... LOL
