Battery Trouble

I replaced both batteries about a year and a half ago. Since then I've replaced the passenger side battery 3 times. I could understand one battery going bad maybe 2 but 3? All on the passenger side. Any ideas would appreciated.

No real difference in charging or draw.
Think it's just a coincidence.

Have you checked the connections to it? If there is a lot of corrosion, it might not be getting charged.

I appreciate the quick replys. I thought the same thing about the charging. They are Auto Zone batteries so i guess 3 bad ones aren't out of the relm of possiblity. I just couldn't think of any reason for this.

Also when they checked the batteries under load they were dead!

I believe you will find a corrosion issue with a cable to pass side battery.
Sometimes a cable problem with see voltage on one battery, but all the charging goes to other as no connection between. Check all cables and connections. A swelled cable sheathing is a giveaway. JMHO

Dozer, the passenger side cable is corroded alittle. I didn't think about that causing a charging problem but I'd say your right. I hate to admit it because I think a new cable harness is around $180.

Make your own out of some welding cable or you can buy them from here for reasonable:

www.custombatterycables.com

Dodge Ram - http://custombatterycables.com/appli.../dodge_ram.htm

They also sell everything you would need to build your own set of cables.
