anything needed to know about a 98
Just bought a 98 6x6 should get on wed 13 is there anything I need to know about the 98. Buying the truck over phone not any around here. Dont know if 12 or 24 it is 5spd slt larimie with147k thats all i know any info would help thanks

Regaurdless if 12v or 24v, get the KDP (killer dowel pin) fixed, if it hasn't already been done. Good luck with the new truck!<br><br>Later, Rob

Hey Rich, You got the VIN number handy?<br>If it has a "D" in it, it's a 12 valve. I think it's the 8th or 9th letter in the VIN.<br><br>Either way, the KDP would be something to look into fixing.

Hey Ch wore out the drivetrain as far had a weird rub in the driveshaft that nobody could figure out and the trans was having problems. Motor was fine the rest of the truck couldnt handle the weight i was moving. So I got rid of it while i could for what I owed on it. If I didnt think they were one hell of a truck I wouldnt buy another over the phone. Id buy a powerjoke ther cheap and plentiful but they cant do it for me. the vin on this truck is 1b7f3362wj219949 . CTD gotta luvem if you work hard

You got a 24 valver on your hands. Just treat it like any other 24 valver and make sure your FP is good.<br>Where'd you get it from? This place in Houston had a black 98 24 valver on the lot a few days ago.

Should fly to Dallas on wed to get it thats were it is at and then I'll put it to work and start the mods ;D and spending the $ :'(
