Aluminum rim width

Hey guys,

What is the width of the stock aluminum rim (2001). I was under the impression that they were 8" but the tire shop insisted they are 7"...??

My dealer invoice says they are 8".

Thats exactly what I thought. Ill be giving that tire guy a talking to:

I measured mine and came up with 9", this was inner lip to outer lip,
but window sticker says they are 8",
so I'm guessing that is the measurement of the actual tire mounting surface.

I know, I appear to have a 2002 which might be different,
but I swapped my OEM's with another user on here
(rather than pay to have the tires unmounted and remounted)
so the stock rims sitting on the side of my garage are actually from a 2000, and they were the exact same thing that came on my 2002, so I doubt the 2001's were any different.
Confused yet? [laugh]

Steel rims were 7", probably where the tire guy got his confusion from.
