Airbag Clock-spring recommendations
Hello;
The truck in my signature is what I am looking for advice on.
I already checked, and it is not eligible for the recall on this part, that did not start until trucks built in 2000.
I am on my 4th replacement clock-spring from O'Rielly's..... I love the lifetime warranty, but I'm getting really tired of taking the steering wheel off every couple months to swap this out.
The part brand name is "Dorman", and unfortunately all the parts-houses around here carry this same part; sometimes branded differently. This part runs about $60 and comes with the lifetime warranty.
The only other option I'm seeing locally is from "BWD" but it costs $366..... It does also have a lifetime warranty, but ****....
Any of you find a good replacement part for this that lasts without breaking the bank?
