99 4WD rear axel hub nut retainer?

Hello,

Have a 99 4WD CTD and just got done doing front brakes now onto rears and drivers side looks to have a leaking hub seal, pulled axel shaft and theres a brass retainer holding down axel nut from comming out, I have three questions one I tried to get this out and the tabs broke so now I need a new one, whats the name of this part??? Question 2 what size is the nut looks to be 2 5/8 but the local auto parts (auto Zone)only has 2-1/2 does anybody know size? Last one after nut is pulled looks straight forward pull outer bearing and remove hub then inspect bearings and if all is well replace rear seal then What is torque speck?

Thanks!!! Paul
