99 to 2002 Brake / Front end conversion

I have a '99 2500 Cummins Quad Cab, I love this truck, it has been very good to me over the last 130K miles. I heard that in 2001 Dodge upgraded the front suspension and brakes on the RAMs... The brakes in the truck are the only thing I can really complain about so far. They do not feel as solid as they should, especially when towing a 9000 lb. trailer. Anybody make the switch to the new style brakes? Any idea why Dodge made these changes with the new truck coming out just one year later?<br>
