2001 Ram 2500 jack
When I got my truck it didn't come with jack. I've been trying to find one and not sure how stock one supposed to look like. Should i just get bottle jack.
Anyone can post a picture of stock one. Thanks

Hey Silver....Not sure if they changed the jacks from 95 to 2001...But mine is useless...It's just a small crank style jack...Almost looks like a small bottle jack but you crank it with the rod and hope it doesn't fail...
When I travel I always place my 10 ton bottle jack in my truck..Or on long trips,I throw in my 5 ton floor jack in the box...

Mine is stock ride height and I don't plan on raising it anymore anytime soon (already doesn't fit in my garage)
I'd like to find one in case I get a flat and I'm in middle of nowhere.

I couldn't find any dims on it but the top portion should screw out another 5-8" if it is like any I have ever used.
I keep a few square pieces of 2x6 in my kit to help stabilize the jack in uneven, wet, uncooperative ground.
My 2-ton floor jack struggles with even one side of my front axle. A bottle jack is more direct and easier to stow.
If you really want to get a stock style jack, I would contact DTR member redlinear. I bet he has one available.

My truck still has the factory jack, never been used as far as I know. Having used those jacks on these trucks before, I'm not too confident on its abilities, so I keep a hydraulic bottle jack with me always, a cross tire iron, and some random wood blocking too. That stuff comes in handy when I have a problem with the trailer too.

I've had to use mine a couple times and had no trouble with it. Like others here when traveling I usually try to remember to throw in a hydraulic bottle jack and blocks. I actually carry a small floor jack in the TT and have used that on the trailer a couple times also.
