17" stock rims and tires, on a trailer
I'm second guessing my 16" trailer rim choice now because don't most new trucks come with 17" rims now? Which might mean 16" tires may not be as easily found out on the road, or less choices? I ran Bridgestone Duravis R250's on my old toyhauler. But Im reading good things about Goodyear G614 and Sailun S-637's
What's your take on the ST vs LT tires on a trailer debate? The sailun's say it can be used for both..

Where the LT tire falls short is at full load with the scrubbing of tandem/tridems. Torquing the tires sideways is really hard on them. My brother was destroying 3500# ST235/80R16 tires when trailering his 5-ton excavator. LT tires were even worse. I've done ok with LT tires on a 10k# trailer doing moderate loads. They seem to hold up fine on a single-axle trailer too. (i.e.pick-up bed trailer)
