Unhappy 12V pcm

Hi there. I have a ???. If the 12V has a mechanical fuel system. Why does it have or need a pcm. I want to get one some day. Is it possible to Be rid of it and make it computer dumb. I think I would like it better if no pcm was calling any shots. Thanks folks.

The PCM controls the tach, speedo, auto tranny, cruise, water in fuel and wait to start systems.
The engine will run just fine without them but those features sure are nice.

not to mention voltage regulation..

I lost mine a while back and paid over 600 for a new one.. The engine runs without it yes it does, BUT if it is faulty or what not, none of the features will work on it, Mine was overcharging extremely and by the time i replaced it, none of my gauges worked anymore... If you have a doubt, my lesson taught me to replace it... If all is fine, then letter be...

Tx
