Turn key and no starter

I have a 96 Dodge 3500 4wd, 5 spd.
When I turn the key I get nothing from the starter. All of the gauges and lights on the dash come on but then nothing from the starter. Its been cold in the mornings, below freezing and that is when it doesn't start (won't turn over). The last couple of days have been in the 50's and when I get home from work and then it will turn over and start. I thought it was the contacts in the solenoid or brushes in starter so I put in another starter from NAPA. Still nothing. Its cold today, below freezing so I will see if it starts when warm again.

I then went about cleaning all the battery connections and replaced a couple of the connectors. Still nothing. What else can it be? I get no clicking from the solenoid when I turn the key either. What is the relationship between the fuel shut off solenoid and relay to the starter? Any?

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Clutch cut out switch would be my guess.

Key on run, trans in N, climb under and short the small and large connectors together.
If it starts the starter is fine.
Problem could be the ASD relay in the underhood box, swap with the A/C relay to test.
Problem could also be the key switch, buy at Napa.

Mototrout, try holding the key switch to the start position and shove the clutch pedal down hard a couple of times.

When it starts worm, do you have to hold the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, or will it start with the pedal up off the floor somewhat?
