Who has the most miles on their stock batteries?

I'm just curious how many miles yall got on your stock batteries before they took a dirt nap. I have 87k on mine right now and they are on their very last leg. I'm just putting off the inevitable and trying to save cash. Every few weeks, I've just been throwing them on a charger for the night.

My stock batteries are still strong and doing great even with the cold weather.... So I still voted as my current mileage... +71K miles. I'm hoping to get another 30K out of them.

Battery life is a function of time not miles. When you buy a new battery it is warrantied in months not miles.

I replaced two factory original batteries last month in a 2000 4x4 with 320,000 on it. Installed two Mopar spiral wound batteries in there place. Hope they can go that long, but I have my doubts.

300k (lots of off road miles)and they are still pretty good. I regullarly run my 2000w invertor too. I think parking in a warm garage every night really helps.

I just changed mine out at 103,000. They were fine, but coming up on 48 months and had been puking acid for the last year. I didn't want to risk being stranded in the winter, so I switched to Optimas.

My 01 has 168k on the clock with the stock battteries. I have been thinking of getting new ones but the last week the weather here was well below zero and they started her up just fine. So I am going to wait.

I had just looked at optimas and found the red top 34/78s for about 120 and the yellow tops 31's or was it the 34's for 189.00. However the yellowtops seem to be on backorder every where I looked.

My truck was delivered 8/01 and still has the original batteries. My wife's 2000 Durango was delivered 5/00 and still has the original battery. Maybe living near the Texas Gulf Coast helps.

At 145k one battery did not hold charge ,10 some volts. Did the old farm trick; discharge COMPLETELY and reverse charge, i.e. like new! Just remember to remark the poles. Works almost every time. Did it on the wifies
Honda too. That little green indicator pops right up...
