Where does this go?

Anybody know what connector this is? It's on the driver side, front of block. I can't find the other half...

Have you drove the truck with this unplugged. Other than the small plugs I see below it the only other plug I can think of in that area that is stock plugs into the throttle body. If that were it though you wouldn't be able to do anything but idle.

No, I'm putting everything back together after a rebuild. Problem is, I didn't pull the engine myself so I didn't get to tag everything.

How many pins does it have? It looks like 6 pins. If that is the case the factory manual for a 2000 shows a connector like that for the APPS. If you tell me what color the wires are I might be able to confirm it.

If thats what it is it is hidden on the cast part of the throttle body on the bottom part of it. There is a socket under there that it plugs into. It's a buggar to find if you already have the throttle body attached. If you have trouble just pull the 3 bolts that hold the whole assembly to the head. Right on top to the front of the grid heater/innercooler intake.

Already been there... I even pulled the cover off the APPS assembly. But I'll have to check again, it certainly seems logical. I've just spent so much time staring at this thing recently it all looks the same at this point.

I'll check tonight and let you know.

I just went out and looked at my 99 and that is the only plug in that area other than the smaller ones in the bottom of your picture. That is as long as somebody didn't re-run the wires from a different location.

I have another question now (and probably a few more to follow)... on the driver side of the block, where does the ground from the wire harness go? I know I can ground it pretty much anywhere, but I figured it would be pretty obvious (as was the case with the opposite side). I just can't find any bolt that fits the terminal on the ground cable (they are all too big).

That was it. They do a good job of hiding that sucker. Anyway, stay tuned for more "where does this go" questions.

Thanks

Last one... I think.

This two-prong connector is on the driver-side. It comes out of the harness that goes down to the trans (pic is sideways) but I don't believe it's long enough to reach the trans so it must go in the engine compartment somewhere in the back?

Thanks.

I came across another half of a connector today:

It's on the driver side, coming out of the wire harness near the rear of the block. Any ideas?
