This link is a good start. I've not replaced mine yet so I can't help with the details.

Also, as for tools, do Ihneed that puller? Or can I just beat it with a hammer? The guys from Diamond Diesel out here told me to hit it with a hammer.

find a steering wheel puller. you can get one from autozone or harbor frieght for 10 bux. with the key, check and check again!!!!!!! MANY times over. i only checked a time or two (in a rush) and missed, which TRASHED the injection pump shaft.

good luck!

Take it to them and let them wack it with a hammer! With advice like that I wouldn't even take my dads PowerJoke near them.

Read the link that Geico posted and then read 99Purple PeopleEaters post again, again, again, and again. That's exactly how many times I checked mine just to make sure it was perfect. I got it lined up the first time, but I wanted to make sure four times. Kind of goes along the lines of measure twice and cut once.

The factory crankshaft barring tool is nice to get the keyway lined up, but not completely necessary. As for the puller, the Blue Chip unit is quite possibly the best you can find, but as was stated before most small pullers will work just fine as long as you don't crank it so much as to crack the timing cover.

Pump

I used the same link that Geico266 recommended. I also used my Dodge Haynes manual for reference. Not what I would call a fun job but there is nothing too difficult with the re and re. A barring tool would be nice, I felt like a bit of a hack turning the engine over with the alternator pulley! I can't recall having a problem removing the timing gear from the pump shaft, I believe I used a steering wheel puller. Follow the instructions and the job should go just fine.
