What kind of oil? And oil pressure question.

My rig just turned 300,000 kms, I was wondering what kind of oil and weight i should be running. Also, whats a normal oil pressure number when warmed up?

Most of us just run Rotella 15w40. My pressure usually is 40 idle and 60-70 under throttle once warmed up.

Any major brand diesel oil will be fine as long as meets specs, althought you will hear plenty hot debating on merits of each. Use syn if want better cold start and perhaps extend oil drain some. pay a couple $ more and make sure get quality oil filter.

Any reputable brand 15W-40 should do. Rotella, Delo, Valvoline, etc...

I use Mobil Delvac 1300 Super because I work for them.

So the best oil is the Mobil!!!!!
