After seeing the design of the intake in the tank itself I'm convinced that's the reason 90% of the LPs that go bad do so. Now I see why Dodges fix was an in-tank pump, so they could replace the pick-up at the same time. I can't believe it's suggested so rarely. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me. I've told all my friends with 24-valves the next time thier LP acts up to drop the tank and fix the problem for good.
Wes in TN you are absolutely right Ive been saying the same thing for 2 years now, after I pulled my fuel module out. There is absolutely no way to put a bigger better pump or lines on this old design fuel module, and move more fuel, it is too restrictive. It would be like topping a set of twins with a stock air filter.

Just to update, another tank of fuel, another 550 miles, and the pump is doing fine.

Three plus months and several thousand miles later and the LP that was thought bad is still running strong. I'd strongly recommend to anyone with what they think is a bad lift pump to drop thier tank and check the pickup.
