VP44 Injection Pump replaced

I finally replaced my VP44 in November after keeping the old one going for 6 months ( 6000 miles ) on veggy oil added to the tank. One gallon to a tank full. Thanks to Tim Bom for all the help with "Limp Mode"!!

Dodge wanted $3600 installed but since "they liked me" they said they would do it for $3200 + tax or $3450+

I got the VP44 for $1013 at Midwest Fuel Injection (great service, no core charge for 30 days, no shipping costs, no tax), had it installed by a local diesel mechanic for $190 (not $375 at dodge).

Running great 6 weeks after install.

You were runnung raw veggie oil in your truck?
As far as I know, that is not OK for teh motor.
At best, I think 5 or 10% Biodiesl may be permitted.
I believe even treated veggie oil will hurt a VP44.

Yep, according to Blue Chip Diesel, any alternate diesel fuel is in long term fatal to the VP44. According to them, no matter how good a person thinks their alternative fuel is, it still gums them up.

You need to do some homework before saying things you have no clue about. Cummins ok's 20%Bio in our trucks. I used to run 100% when i could get it.
Do your homework!
