VP finally died

Well here we are - the VP is about to bite the bullet. I have been driving around, well limping around, for a couple of months. The P0216 code just keeps coming back, so I called the dealer and they said bring it in for repair. They already have the pump in stock so they told me they would have it changed out in less than 2 hours. They are also going to look at the turbo to see if they can find the source of the boost flutter. Very nice dealership to talk to. So I will report back after the repair.

And for the record, never had a hard start condition, but I did experience dead peddle and loss of power. Even accelerating onto the interstate has become an issue.

Invest in a SHOVP44 from Industrial Injection! How does 80-100 more hp sound.

I hope they are going to replace the Lp- do you have a FP gauge? A small investment, but this is the "Tax" one must pay to keep the 24v on the road.

Updated....

Got the truck repaired...Replaced injection pump under warranty although it was tough to convince them. The replacement pump is a black remanufactured pump that has Reman in USA stamped on the side. It was a lot less of a job than I thought it would be. I actually got to stay in the service bay the entire time and the mechanic told me step by step what he was doing. This was by far the best dealer mechanic I have ever dealt with. The dealership staff was very nice and knowledgeable. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say 9. I even got to talk to the head warranty guy....he saw the modified exhaust, the guages, the vulcan big line kit.....he even said..hey is that a Vulcan Kit...I said why yes it is. He said I have heard good things about their relocation kit. I showed him the fuel pressure readings and he was impressed. Even with all the after market parts, he had no problem replacing the pump under warranty. So far 200 miles later and all is good.

Sounds like you found a great dealership. not too many of them left. Must be the Southern hospitality.
