valve lash ?
just a quick question fellas? was checking the owners manual to do valve lash, and it says to put motor in TDC to check 1-2-4 IT, and 1-3-5 EX.
then says to rotate 360deg. this is my question, if you rotate the motor 360 deg from TDC will you not go right back to TDC? the diagram in the manual has the TDC AND BDC. I am sure I am missing something real simple here. I would think that 180 deg would move you from TDC to BDC,

One full turn on the crankshaft = one half turn on the camshaft. So basically, if you turn your crankshaft pulley (or flywheel, if you're using the barring tool) one full turn, it will line you up properly to set the second set of valves.

Four stroke engines (gas or diesel) have to go around twice to complete all four strokes. The camshafts are geared at a 2:1 ratio to the crank to accommodate this.

Be sure to properly tighten all of the locking nuts, very important! I didn't tighten up my #5 exhaust correctly and it came loose down the road.
