A customer of mine has a '99 2500 with a few upgrades. His automatic transmission is shot. I found a good deal on an '03 3500 with a rod hangin out of the block. It also is an auto. Can I put this transmission in the older truck? I know it's not a direct replacement, but is it possible? I did a search and seen where somebody had used 48re guts in a 47. Is the trans in the 3500 a 48re or is there something else it could be? My customer would definitely go for this if it was reasonable.
