Transmission in & out of OD fixed!!

After going over EVERY electrical connection attached even vaugely to the transmission I was just getting ready to have the transmission rebuilt because I couldn't get it to stop surging at around 45 mph.
Just to see if I could improve the milage I did the APPS reset and VIOLA no more surging[roll] :D
I wish I had done that before, it would have saved me hours of crawling on my back and swearing[dummy]

Are sure it was OD disengaging, or was it the Torque convertor locking and unlocking? The TC problem is fairly common.

DTT noise filter!

I fixed mine temporarily with all the recommended cures i.e. foil wrap, disconnecting batts.,apps reset. One thing did the job: DTT noise filter. www.dieseltrans.com

I had tried the foil, cleaning all the grounds, adding a ground to the comp, contact cleaner on all the plugs, sacrificing live chickens, parking it facing true north, Heck I even tried to get a virgin to deflower in the front seat...oh wait I always do that[laugh]
Nothing worked and I'm not sure if it was the OD or torque convertor, but either way. Pulling both batt grounds and leaving the key on for 30 min then turning off the key, putting cables back on, key on foot to floor and back slowly.....NO MORE SEARCHING/SURGING:o
My idle went back down to 750 from the 900 it was at before.
I never figured they would have had a connection[duhhh]

What did this do, reset/calibrate the pedals?

What is a APPS reset, my 99 2wd 2500 is doing the same thing.

I hear around here they are only 11 year olds so you best be quiet about this!!!!
Glad you fixed it. Most find the DTT noise filter does the fix.
