Tranny bucking?

When I take off from a stop, it wants to buck in 2nd gear depending on how I pedal the accelerator. If I just leave the pedal in the same position from a stop until 3rd gear, it drives smooth. And if I just hammer it at anytime it goes through all the gears just fine. (including a dead stop)
Seems like it does it worse when the truck is cold.
Any ideas?

Have it checked for codes. It could be the gov pres selenoid or the other sensor in there.(i forget the name) Check the fluid level and smell if burnt or color change. If you end up taking the pan off look at the magnet on the pan for excessive metal from slipping clutches.

I haven't checked for codes yet and im going to service it soon.
