Tool to Disconnect Tranny Cooler Lines on 01?
I have an 01 RAM 2500 and I recently developed a very fast leak from one of the tranny cooler lines. The leak is from inside the fitting itself and not from the crimps holding it in place.
I going to attempt to disconnect it and clean it and see if that stopped that leaking. But I do not know the the proper tool to disconnect the line. I bought a Chilton's hoping that would list it, but it does not discuss the tranny cooler and in the transmission removal procedures it said too disconnect cooler lines from the transmission (not at quick disconnects at the cooler).
Does any one know the P/N for the tool and where I can find it?
Also, doesn't any one know if the tranny cooler hoses with disconnects that connect to the tranny hardline are available anywhere?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David

Go to almost any repair shop and ask when one of there tool guys show [ Snap On , Mac ect ] .
Theres a lot of verities so its better odds to find a pro that knows there tools than a clerk behind the cash register.

You'll need the cheap plastic tools avail nearly anywhere for the "A/C quick connect" fittings. What I usually find on a leak at the quick connect is a cracked line where they made the factory crimp where the line "clicks" into the fitting.
