Tires
 

I am new to the DTR and need to ask a question on tires. I just replaced my tires, old ones had 265/75/16 on them and I replaced them with Khumo's 265/75/16. My question is the orignal size on the truck calls for 245/75/16. I bought this truck 2 months ago and the overhead computer and the odometer match mile for mile, so if I go 12.0 miles on my odometer and it shows that I have gone 12.0 miles on my overhead computer has it been recalibrated. Thanks for any info on this?

first welcome to DTR. your overhead and odometer will always match no matter what size tires you put on. To find out if it is calibrated properly either take to a dealer and have the rev per miles for the size of tire you are using checked, or get a gps and check to see they match or have someone follow you and see if you get the same speed and distance. Most likely is if someone has upped the size of tire they would have gotten it recalibrated.

Or you could have the "towing package" which would include 265's from the factory (even though the door says 245's).

Thanks for the info, I do have the tow package and it came with the factory
camper package too.
