anyone experience or has experienced this....
during winter months i hear a prominent tapping on firewall on passenger side at shutdown. i have noticed that that noise is less audible during the warmer weather. same tapping noise on wall just not as loud.

anyone with any input?

oh!! didn't realize. its a 01 six speed, SLT.

 

Worst case, you have a leaking head gasket the combustion gas is getting it to your cooling system the noise you hear is the gas going through the heat exchanger( heater core). After you drive it and it is almost cooled down slowly crack rad cap see if any gasses come out.
