Smog issue, stock injectors needed?
A buddy recently bought a gorgeous low mile '99. Has a ten position box with no visible name and some unknown injectors. Puffs pretty black off idle even with the box set at zero. Won't pass cal smog as is.
Figured he'd have to replace the injectors with some stockers. Is there any easier/cheaper way to reduce smoke on the snap test? Want ad removed site violation Thanks in advance. |

I take it you tried all positions on the unknown box and also removed it as well to see if that helped reduce the smoking.

Find out what injectors....I may be willing to swap a set of factory Bosch inectors

find out who has a SMARTY programmer close to you. they have a 1/2 power mode. puts it in half stock power regardless of injectors you will pass. many in CA have done this or have a smarty have done this.
