Re:shudder

I have it too, but have not been able to figure out what it is. It started at about the same time I changed all my shocks, but I can't be sure that it's the problem. I am also hoping to find some insight to this.

Re:shudder

Weird this is that I never had it on my truck for over 85,000 miles. Now that I'm at 90,000 it started. How weird is that?

Re:shudder

I had the shudder last winter. I think weather might have something to do with it. Anyway, I cleaned my motor and un-plugged, then re-plugged my box and it quit. That lasted for a year, and now it started again. The weekend we had our meet Dec. 6, on the way to the campground. I've cleaned my motor again, and will put my box back on when I get my new pump installed. Someone seems to think that you can get some electrical connector grease, and re-grease the electrical connections. My 2c.

Kimrey

Re:shudder

Had the same problems and went away after I cleaned and conserved the following:

Data bus on VP44, all connectors on PCM and ECM, Connector on APPS ,MAP and IAT sensors and connectors.
All relays and fuses in the PDC

Not necessarily all were connected to may problem, but while I still had the tools out.. didn't hurt anything.
Went over my headlight connectora and this helped a bunch.
Also the battery posts..
I think it's a good idea to clean all connectors to avoid having problems.

HTH
AlpineRAM
Re:shudder

Hmm, this is interesting. I just got my new VP44 installed, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. The thing is, the truck will shudder no matter the RPM, in neutral or in gear at 40mph. That leads me to believe that it's not any of those things even though I don't know for sure.

Re:shudder

Alpineram, I didn't do all of that, but thats a good idea. Jack, sorry, I was talking about the performance box. I have the van-akken that plugs into the pump. When I cleaned that up it went away. Does anybody know the name of the grease thats used for electrical connections? I forgot [undecided]

Kimrey

One day going down the road, the truck just up and died. I'm not sure exactly what happened to the pump, but the codes showed pump timing out of whack and something else. They replaced the pump at the dealer and all has been great since then.

Re:shudder

Clean with electrical contact cleaner and put Dielectric grease on all those connectors, they will and often do cause you these kind of problems.
