Question Seal in vacuum pump. Have a Q?

I am going to do the seal in the pump tomorrow and I was wondering if you had to remove the lines from the power steering pump to do this on a 2001 or not. I had read that this may be an issue so I though I would ask first so I know what I am up against.

Another question is do you have to split the pump to change the seal or can it just be pryed out and a new one installed.

Thanks

Jason

If you are talking about the vacuum pump seal I find it easier if you remove the vac, pump and the power steering together. And you don't have the split the whole pump just the back 1/3 of it.
