runs great...but
99 2500, stock LP, auto trans.......My trucks runs great, no smoke, easy start even in very cold temps...but when she warms up and shut her down, then I have to want until she cools completely before starting again...when I go to town I leave her running until I get home....no codes, the only thing different is when I try to start warm, the pump stay on a while after I turn the key off...I have a pressure guage and it read about 10 running...any help would really be great. thanks
Does it always not start hot? Mine was intermittent & turned out to be the crank position sensor. Other possibilities learned in the process are leak causing cavitation & overflow valve sticking. Search my recent posts for the sequence.
done the crank sensor about 3 k ago, when it was doing a intermittent start, then it cleared it right up, this is different , it just wont start when she HOT....more on the problem, started yesterday and lots of ruff idle and white smoke..did clear up with a little reving...maybe new sensor when south?
