Rebuilt Engine Break In

I recently lost a injector tip, causing #3 to melt down. Its been rebuilt, bored 20 over and new injectors. How many miles would you go for a normal everyday driving break in? How long would you wait to Tow with it?

Thanks yall for you input!
Rick

About 500 miles of easy driving then find a big load to tow for some miles.

Vary the engine speeds a lot. This allows the rings to wear and conform to the cylinder walls.

Check out this link. This mainly pertains to aircraft piston engines, but it has great info that applies to any piston engine.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Give it some slack for 50 miles. Recheck everything. If OK, let the hammer down and drive as before. It can take 10,000 miles to break in under very light loading.
